About me

My name is Beatriz E. Hoyos, I am a Colombian artist and for me painting is not only a technique to reach a result, it is to mix colors, oils, sensations, perceptions.... is to play and enjoy while it is captured on canvas and feel it's spectacular smell of turpentine that invites to continue directing the brush with the strokes that come from intuition; while the oil remains wet, the imagination continues.

Creating backgrounds and forms with smooth, clean and fast brushstrokes as an expressive medium... in a permanent dance of vibrating and contrasting colors; the work does not end when it dries, because that is where a new creation begins.
